Braulio Sáez Garcia

Braulio Sáez Garcia OCD (born March 23, 1942 in Quintanaloranco , Spain ) is a Spanish religious and auxiliary bishop emeritus in Santa Cruz de la Sierra .

Life

Braulio Sáez Garcia joined the Order of the Discalced Carmelites , made profession on March 28, 1966 and was ordained a priest on March 25, 1968 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Tacapae and auxiliary bishop in Oruro on February 18, 1987 . The Bishop of Oruro, Julio Terrazas Sandoval CSsR , donated him episcopal ordination on May 13 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Gonzalo de Jesús María del Castillo Crespo OCD, Auxiliary Bishop in La Paz , and Gonzalo López Marañón OCD, Vicar Apostolic of San Miguel de Sucumbíos .

On November 7, 1991 he was appointed Bishop of Oruro. On September 11, 2003, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation from the Oruro diocese and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Santa Cruz de la Sierra and titular bishop of Rhasus .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on April 12, 2018.
