Remarks

  1. The government of Zahir Shah renamed the Amani-Oberrealschule, founded in 1924, to Nedjat-Oberrealschule in 1933. The name change lasted until his fall in 1973. Since 1974, on the 50th anniversary, the school was given its old name again. Once upon a time, all natural science subjects were taught in German. By the way: The Amani song was always sung conspiratorially by the students. The Amania Girls 'High School, where Marguerite Neufeind taught, was renamed the Malalai Girls' High School after the fall of Amanullah. Today German is taught as a foreign language in Durani High School , which is based on the tradition of Amania. See also Amani-Oberrealschule
