Brigitte "Britt" Lafforgue (born November 5, 1948 in Bagnères-de-Luchon ) is a former French ski racer .
biography
Britt Lafforgue is the twin sister of Ingrid Lafforgue and daughter of Maurice Lafforgue and the Swedish skier May Nilsson , who won the slalom bronze medal at the World Ski Championships in Zakopane in 1939 .
At the 1972 Olympic Games in Sapporo , she reached eighth place in the giant slalom . In the special slalom on February 11, 1972 she was 0.21 seconds after the first run compared to the leading Barbara Ann Cochran in third place and had a lead of 0.31 seconds over her ranked team colleague Florence Steurer . But she was eliminated in the second run, so that Steurer (in the dramatic race with regard to the gold decision) took bronze.
She was never able to classify at world championships. She was much more successful in the Ski World Cup , where she won five slalom and two giant slalom races. Both in the 1970/71 season and in the 1971/72 season she took first place in the slalom World Cup.
Lafforgue is married to the former ski racer Henri Duvillard .
