Bread and Games is the fifteenth album by Saltatio Mortis and the ninth on which they play medieval rock . It was released on August 17, 2018 and entered the German album charts at number 1. The title 'Bread and Games' refers to the band's fear of living in late Roman times.

Charts and chart placements

In Germany, Brot und Spiele reached the top position in the German album charts and was able to stay in the top 10 and 17 weeks in the charts for one week as well as two weeks. At the end of the year, the album was 37th in the annual album charts. Furthermore, placed bread and circuses at position nine of the official German Vinyl charts . In Austria the album reached position eight and stayed in the top 10 for one week and in the hit parade for four weeks.
