history

Bučovice was first mentioned in documents in 1318 under the property of the Benedictine monastery Wilmzell . In 1421 the Hussites destroyed the monastery, after which they seized various nobles of the extensive monastery property. After the end of the Hussite Wars , the monastery was poorly restored, but the Benedictines did not succeed in recovering all of their goods. After the monastery was abandoned in 1575, King Rudolf II sold the desert monastery with the villages of Bučowitz, Heřmanitz, Borek, Hostaulitz, Zhoř , Jakubowitz, Zdanitz, Ponstwy, Kmec and Čestowitz as well as other accessories to Beneš Beneda from Nečtiny in 1577. At the end of the 17th century, the Counts Caretto von Milessimo acquired the Wilimow rule and later elevated it to the family entourage .

In 1840 the village of Butschowitz or Bučowice in the Caslauer Kreis consisted of 13 houses in which 99 people lived. The parish and office was a monastery . Up until the middle of the 19th century, Butschowitz remained subject to the Wilimow family fideikommissherrschaft.

After the abolition of patrimonial Bučovice formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Heřmanice in the judicial district of Habern . From 1868 the place belonged to the Časlau district . In 1869 Bučovice had 101 inhabitants and consisted of 13 houses. In 1900 there were 83 people living in Bučovice, in 1910 there were 96. In 1930 Bučovice had 78 inhabitants and consisted of 16 houses. Since the territorial reform of 1960 the village has belonged to Okres Havlíčkův Brod . In 1961 it was incorporated into Vilémov . Heřmanice and Bučovice broke away from Vilémov on November 24, 1990 and formed the municipality of Heřmanice. In the 2001 census, 18 people lived in the village's 14 houses.
