Boy Asman

Bub Asman (born August 17, 1949 in Louisville ) is an American sound designer and film editor .

Life

In the 1970s, Asman began as a film editor and worked on various projects. Since the end of the 70s he worked exclusively as a sound designer and was responsible for sound editing and sound effects in numerous Hollywood films.

For his work he was nominated several times for an Oscar in the category Best Sound Editing . In 1997 he was nominated for his work on Eraser , in 2001 for Space Cowboys and in 2007 twice for the films Letters from Iwo Jima and Flags of Our Fathers . For the former he won the award that year together with Alan Robert Murray . At the 2015 Academy Awards , he and Alan Robert Murray received the award for American Sniper .
