Bulajew ( Kazakh Булаев , Russian Булаево Bulajewo ) is a city in Kazakhstan . The place is the administrative center of the Audany Maghschan Schumabaev in northern Kazakhstan .
geography
Bulajew is located in northern Kazakhstan in the Northern Kazakhstan region, around 80 kilometers east of Petropawl and 180 kilometers west of Omsk and almost 30 kilometers from the state border with Russia .
history
The place was founded in 1983 when several people settled here who were working on the construction of the Southern Urals Railway . Bulayev Railway Station opened in 1894; this was first named Medweschka after a nearby village. Due to the location on the railway line, the place grew quickly and in 1940 it became an urban-type settlement with schools, a cultural center and a hospital.
In the course of the Soviet new land campaign for the agricultural development of northern Kazakhstan, a grain elevator was built in Bulajew in the 1950s . In 1969 the town was granted city rights.
