Tajynscha ( Russian and Kazakh Тайынша ) is a city in northern Kazakhstan . It is cultural and economic center of around 67,000 inhabitants Rajons ( Audan ) Tajynscha in the region North Kazakhstan , about 120 km south of the regional capital Petropavlovsk .
history
After the place called Taicha ( Russian Тайнча ) had already become an urban-type settlement , it received city rights in 1962 under the name Krasnoarmeisk ( Красноармейск ; from Krasnaya Armija for Red Army ). On May 2, 1997, due to a decree of the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Krasnoarmeisk , the city was renamed Tayynscha , in the Kazakh form of the name. In 2007, the “Biochim” (Biochim) factory was built to produce bioethanol .
Many Poles and Germans , often former Crimean Germans , lived in Tajynscha until the 1990s .
