The ruins of Dalečín Castle (German Tollstein , also Tolenstein ) are located in the municipality of Dalečín in Okres Žďár nad Sázavou , Czech Republic .
geography
The hill fort is located in the southern part of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands in a bend of the Svratka river . To the west of it is the Dalečín Castle .
history
The castle was first mentioned in writing in 1358, when Klara von Tasov and her brother-in-law, the Olomouc provost Ješek, sold the villages of Dalečín, Vítochov and Písečné to Jimram von Pernstein . Due to its architectural style in Luxembourg Gothic , it is assumed that it was built around 1340.
As a robber's nest, the castle was destroyed together with Štarkov and later partially restored by the Pernsteiners. After the Hussite Wars , the castle again became a haven for robbers. In 1519 the Moravian governor Archleb Vranovský von Boskowitz conquered the castle and had it pulled down. It was never rebuilt and was called desolate between 1588 and 1603.
investment
The castle lies on a promontory and was protected on three sides by the Svratka. It was surrounded by a fortified wall with a 11–13 m wide moat .
Get is a part of the outer wall of the round Palas .
