The building it was one at the Ahr located lowland castle . Only a few remains of the wall remain from the house and are now built into a homestead .

history

Pützfeld Castle is mentioned for the first time around 1222. The castle was the ancestral seat of the Knights of Pützfeld, who appeared in the service of the Electorate of Cologne since the late Middle Ages . In the 16th century the von Friemersdorf, called von Pützfeld, sat there. Werner Freiherr von Pützfeld had a Marienkapelle built in Pützfeld around 1670. The three-storey building with a mansard roof was sold for demolition in 1851, which is why only a few remains of the wall still exist today.
