Offenhausen Castle Stables

The Postal Offenhausen is a Outbound medieval moated castle at the parish church of Offenhausen in Nuremberg County in Bavaria .

In the local writings of the Offenhausen pastor Karl Thiermann, a castle belonging to the Counts of Hirschberg is mentioned, which is said to have stood by the parish church on the site of the two tavern inns attested in the early 15th century, which could indicate that it was built around the 12th century. The castle was destroyed before the 15th century. In a source from the early 16th century, a "Widenburg" is also mentioned, which could not be precisely located.
