Altdorf nursing home
Nursing Castle Altdorf is the name of a castle in Altdorf near Nuremberg .
Location and history
The former imperial city care palace is located at Schlossplatz 7 in the town of Altdorf in the district of Nürnberger Land . It goes back to royal officials in Altdorf in the 12th century. The 15th century official residence was destroyed in 1553 and rebuilt in 1558. From 1808 it was used as the Bavarian district court Altdorf and in 1862 as the district court Altdorf .
Todays use
The castle was used for the administration of the Nuremberg district from 1946 to 1965 . It has served as a police station since 1971. After the palace was adapted to various uses by the state building administration, it can be assumed that the interior has hardly survived from the time of the imperial city.
The building has been designated as an architectural monument (D-5-74-112-110) and a ground monument (D-5-6634-0116) by the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments .
