The Butler University ( Butler University ) is a private university in Indianapolis , founded in 1855. The university calls himself a " liberal arts university", but offers wide range of subjects.

Sports
The university's sports teams are called Butler Bulldogs and are blue and white. The university has been a member of the Big East Conference since 2013 .
