The Byrd Township is one of 10 townships in Cape Girardeau County in the southeast of the US -amerikanischen state of Missouri .

The Byrd Township is located on the eastern slope of the Ozark Plateau to the valley of the Mississippi River , which forms the border with Illinois about 10 km further east .
