Cédric Hächler (born July 1, 1993 in Seengen ) is a Swiss ice hockey player . The defender has been under contract with SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers in the National League since 2018 .

Career

Born in Seengen in the canton of Aargau , Hächler played as a junior at Zürcher SC and made his debut for the GCK Lions , the ZSC's farm team, in the National League B in the 2010/11 season . In the 2011/12 season he gained international experience at the Swedish club Malmö Redhawks , where, in addition to appearances in the youth field, he also played in HockeyAllsvenskan , the country's second division. He returned to Zurich in 2012, played in the following two years primarily for Küsnacht in the NLB, but also for the ZSC Lions in the National League A , with whom he became Swiss champion in 2014. Hächler made another detour and was on the ice in the 2014/15 season for the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers , with whom he was relegated from the NLA in spring 2015. He was then signed again by the ZSC Lions. On January 23, 2017, Hächler switched to NLA competitor EHC Biel . For the 2018/19 season he returned to the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, who had made it to the National League in spring 2018 .

International

In November 2014, Hächler was appointed to the Swiss men's national team for the first time and competed in the Germany Cup with the national team .
