Andri Spiller (born July 28, 1995 in Hünenberg ZG ) is a Swiss ice hockey player . He has been part of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers squad in the National League since May 2018 .

career

Spiller comes from the youth department of the EHC Chur . But he also played for the two Graubünden clubs EHC Arosa and HC Davos during his junior years . In 2013 he moved to EV Zug , where he competed in the championship with the Elite A Juniors, but was also allowed to participate in the training of the first team in some cases. During his time at EV Zug he was loaned to SC Herisau and during the 2014/15 season to SC Langenthal , where he signed a one-year contract for the 2015/16 season and completed his first full season in the Swiss League .

For the 2016/17 season, the striker moved to HC Thurgau , where he signed a contract for two seasons. He achieved his breakthrough in the 2017/18 season, which led to the interest of the then National League club EHC Kloten . The contract originally signed for the 2018/19 season became null and void with the relegation of the Zürcher Unterländer to the Swiss League, so Spiller signed a one-year contract with SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers , who had been promoted to the National League .

National team

So far, Spiller has played for the Swiss national team in the U18 and U20 age groups and has played a total of 13 international matches.
