Career

Roman Schlagenhauf began his career in the offspring of the Kloten Flyers , where his uncle had already spent 17 seasons as a professional player and was twice champion with the club. In 2006 Schlagenhauf won his first title. He became Swiss champion with the Kloten elite juniors. He made his debut for the first team in the 2007/08 season . He also came up with some inserts for the U20 national Swiss in the National League B . For the 2009/10 season he switched to HC Lugano , for which he was in action for the next two seasons.

At the beginning of the 2010/11 season , Schlagenhauf was still on the ice for the Luganesi, but moved to EHC Biel after eleven missions . At the end of the season he left the club and moved to HC Ambrì-Piotta . The center stayed in Leventina until 2015, before moving to the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers for one season . After the Rapperswilers left, Schlagenhauf signed a contract with HC Lugano until 2018. After only four missions he left the club again.

Schlagenhauf has been under contract again with his youth club, EHC Kloten , since the 2016/17 season . In 2017 he won his first professional title with the Swiss Cup . After the Klotener were relegated in spring 2018 , Schlagenhauf switched to the newcomers at the same time, the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, for whom he had already worked in the 2015/16 season .

International

Schlagenhauf made his first appearances for the U18 junior team of the Swiss national team in 2006. At the U20 World Cup in 2008 he was relegated with his team, but only managed to get promoted again a year later.
