CBM 4022 printer

The matrix printer CBM 4022 (or CBM 4022P) from Commodore International was used for the CBM-3000 series , CBM-4000 series and CBM-8000 series and has the following properties:

  • Print speed: 30 lines per minute with 80 characters per line
  • Print direction unidirectional, CBM 4022P bidirectional (and was therefore faster)
  • Font: 6 × 8 dot matrix
  • Writing density: 10 characters per inch
  • Line spacing: programmable
  • Character size: height = 2.8 mm (0.11  ), width = 2 mm (0.08 ″)
  • Ribbon Type: Cassette with a life expectancy of 2 million characters
  • Continuous paper with 10 inch paper width, tractor guide
  • Printer commands and formatting commands programmable with the Commodore- BASIC
  • Connection via IEEE-488 interface
  • Exchange of the CBM- ASCII code by an extended ASCII code with German umlauts was possible (change of the memory module)

The successor model was the CBM 4023 printer with similar characteristics.
