AmigaGuide
AmigaGuide is a hypertext - file format , which is for use with CBM - Amiga - computers from Workbench 2.0 has been developed. The files consist of pure ASCII so that any text editor can be used for editing. The usual filename extension is .guide . With version 3.0 of the AmigaOS , AmigaGuide files can be loaded and displayed using the MultiView program and the DataTypes system.
AmigaGuide files are structured similarly to Texinfo files. They were often published as help pages for applications because their references were particularly suitable for this. Microsoft Help files (developed later) are the closest in format and appearance.
