CBM 4023 printer

The matrix printer CBM 4023 from Commodore International was used for the CBM-3000 series , CBM-4000 series and CBM-8000 series and has the following properties:

  • Print speed: 45 lines per minute with 80 characters per line, 78 lines per minute with 40 characters per line, 124 lines per minute with 20 characters per line
  • Print direction bidirectional
  • Font: 8 × 8 dot matrix
  • Writing density: 10 characters per inch
  • Line spacing: programmable
  • Character size: height = 2.4 mm (0.094  ), width = 2 mm (0.08 ″)
  • Ribbon Type: Cassette with a usage range of 1.2 million characters
  • Continuous paper with 10 inch paper width, tractor guide
  • Printer commands and formatting commands programmable with the Commodore- BASIC
  • Connection via IEEE-488 interface
  • Exchange of the CBM- ASCII code by an extended ASCII code with German umlauts was possible by changing a memory module.

The previous model was the CBM 4022 printer with similar characteristics.
