Amiga A570
The Amiga A570 is a hardware extension that was brought onto the market by Commodore in 1990 . It is a CD-ROM drive for the Amiga 500 .
general description
The A570 is connected to the expansion port on the side of the home computer and has its own power supply unit . It only switches on when the computer has started up and takes full control of the system. Finally, a bootable medium such as B. a floppy disk or CD searched.
The memory of the drive can be increased by two megabytes by means of a special extension .
Since the expansion port is not carried out on the A570, it is not possible to connect other expansions such as an A590 hard drive to the computer at the same time as an A570.

Furthermore, the device is fully compatible with CDTV . During operation, however, there should be numerous problems with other hardware expansions.
