The Cacusan Clube Futebol ( short: Cacusa , CCF ) is an East Timorese football club . He is based in the state capital Dili in Suco Becora . The name is derived from Cacusa , a mountain in neighboring Camea .

history

The club appeared for the first time in the Indonesian occupation in 1997 as Dili Timur and took part in the Liga Lorosae. According to the name, the club represented the east of Dilis in the league. In 2000 they took part in the Taça Vos Esperança . On June 10, 2001, the company was renamed Cacusan CF and participated in the Nobel Cup . Other cup participations were the Presidente Cup 2004 and 2014, the Fronteira Cup 2004 and the Taça 12 de Novembro 2015.

In 2005/2006 they were part of the Super League . They were eliminated in the first round as third in Group D after two defeats. The club did not take part in the Taça Digicel . The Dili Leste team that played was not the same as the Cacusan CF.

In 2015 the qualifying round for the newly founded league Futebol Amadora took place. The Cacusan CF only reached third place in Group A and therefore had to join the Segunda Divisão in the 2016 season . Here, however, as a champion of the second division, he was promoted directly to the Primeira Divisão for the 2017 season . Here they just managed to stay in sixth place, but the 2018 season was relegated back to the second division from the last place in the table for 2019 .

At Taça 12 de Novembro 2016 they were eliminated in the third round against eventual cup winners AS Ponta Leste on penalties. In 2017 they were eliminated in the second main round and in 2018 in the first main round.

On May 28, 2017, club president João Soares Maneco resigned after several founding members criticized him for dismissing coach Vasco Clementinho de Carvalho. Maneco had sacked Carvalho because the club had only achieved 11 instead of 15 points in seven games in the first half of the 2017 season and thus only reached third place. On June 7, José Carlos Fonseca , captain of the Cacusan CF team and the East Timorese national football team , announced that he no longer wanted to play in the league for Cacusan CF this season. The reason are internal association problems.
