Cajuata is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Cajuata is the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Cajuata in the province of Inquisivi and is located at an altitude of 1680 m on one of the tributaries to the Río de la Paz , which comes from the capital La Paz past the Illimani in a northeastern direction to the Río Beni flows there.

Cajuata is located on the eastern slopes of the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Central at the transition to the Bolivian lowlands.
The mean average temperature of the region is around 19 ° C (see climate diagram Cajuata), the monthly values fluctuate only slightly between a good 16 ° C in June and July and a good 20 ° C in December and January. The annual precipitation is about 900 mm, with a pronounced dry season from May to August and a wet season from December to March.

Cajuata is located at a distance of 240 kilometers by road east of La Paz , the capital of the department of the same name.
From La Paz, the paved national road Ruta 3 leads north-east for 60 kilometers to Unduavi , from there the unpaved Ruta 25 branches off in a south-east direction and reaches Circuata via Chulumani and Miguillas after 159 kilometers . Five kilometers after Circuata, a dirt road leaves Ruta 25 in a southerly direction in the small village of Agua Rica and after 21 kilometers reaches Cajuata .
