Circuata is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Circuata is the central place of the canton Circuata in the municipality of Cajuata in the province of Inquisivi and is located at an altitude of 1884 m on a hill and is surrounded by the two headwaters of the Río Miguillas , a right tributary of the Río de la Paz , which flows from the capital La Paz coming from the Illimani flows in a north-easterly direction towards the Río Beni .

Circuata is located on the eastern slopes of the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Central at the transition to the Bolivian lowlands.
The mean average temperature of the region is around 19 ° C (see climate diagram Cajuata), the monthly values fluctuate only slightly between a good 16 ° C in June and July and a good 20 ° C in December and January. The annual precipitation is about 900 mm, with a pronounced dry season from May to August and a wet season from December to March.

Circuata is located 219 kilometers east of La Paz , the capital of the department of the same name.
From La Paz the paved road Ruta 3 leads north-east for 60 kilometers to Unduavi , from there the unpaved Ruta 25 branches off in a south-easterly direction and leads via Chulumani , Ocobaya , Irupana and La Plazuela into the valley of the Río de la Paz, where it Via Miguillas and Lujmani along the Río Miguillas you reach Circuata after 159 kilometers . From there it continues via the villages of Inquisivi and Independencia (Ayopaya) to Vinto , where it meets the Ruta 4 to Cochabamba .
