Cale Kalay

Cale Kalay (born July 28, 1986 in Belgrade , Yugoslavia ) is a Yugoslav-German entertainer, creative director, producer, singer and dancer.

Career

Cale Kalay was born in 1986 in Belgrade, the son of a Yugoslav musician and a Yugoslav nurse, and moved to Germany at the age of seven. During his school days he was part of the carnival dance sport for a long time and learned to entertain spectators there.

In 2006 Kalay took part in the casting show You can dance and was among the top 6. Afterwards he worked as a dancer and coach for Kylie Minogue , Robin Schulz , Donna Summer , Anastacia , Sugababes , David Garrett , Katherine Jenkins , Kim Wilde , Ronan Keating , Sarah Connor , Mandy Capristo , Monrose or Helene Fischer .

Kalay has starred in musicals such as The Rocky Horror Show , Dirty Dancing, and Dance of the Vampires . In 2016/2017 he was given the leading role alongside Drew Sarich in the Viennese musical Luna .

From 2010 to 2015 Kalay worked as a dancer for Helene Fischer and took on the role of dance captain and lead dancer on her tours. In 2012 he sang a duet with her on Fischer's “For a Day” tour.

In 2015 he ended his dance career and dedicated himself to the entertainment sector. In 2016, Kalay sat as a juror in the first season of the TV show "Dance Dance Dance" on RTL and evaluated prominent candidates who had to dance to international music videos. In 2017 he was also part of the jury team. In 2019 he is a member of the jury for the SAT.1 program Dancing on Ice.
