The Calpam Mineralöl-Gesellschaft mbH is a regional company in the field of mineral oil and lubricants based in Aschaffenburg .
Company history
The Calpam petroleum mbH was under the name "German PAM Petroleum-Gesellschaft mbH" was established on July 13, 1961 and 1989 by Bolloré - Group involving the holding company CIPCH (Calpam International Petroleum Company Holding BV, Rotterdam / NL) 100% accepted. On December 1, 1994 the company name was changed to "Calpam Mineralöl-Gesellschaft mbH". The historic Deutsche PAM Mineralölgesellschaft, a subsidiary of the Dutch SHV group based in Düsseldorf, supplied customers with fuel, heating oil and lubricants in regional and direct sales and, for strategic reasons, relocated its headquarters to Aschaffenburg, the location of its largest tank farm. In 1989, Calpam became a subsidiary of the Bolloré Group's energy division in Paris. A trademark agreement with the former owners in 1994 led to the current name Calpam Mineralöl-Gesellschaft mbH . The origins of the brand name Calpam go back to an earlier joint venture between Chevron and the Dutch PAM .
Company profile
Via the parent company Bolloré Energie, Calpam is the second largest independent distributor of mineral oil products in Europe with the product range of heating oil, fuels and lubricants. The bunkering of ships is carried out by the subsidiary Deutsche Calpam in Hamburg . Customers are households, agriculture, transport companies, industry, the trade as well as the heating oil and fuel trade.
Calpam operates a tank farm for heating oil and diesel fuel in Kleinostheim with a capacity of 11,000 m³. The products held in stock are sold through five legally dependent branches in Arnsberg , Korbach , Herdorf , Greiz and Kleinostheim as well as around 60 petrol stations in North Rhine-Westphalia , Lower Saxony , Hesse and Bavaria .
On January 1, 2019, the heating oil and diesel business at the Neu-Ulm, Augsburg and Albstadt locations was sold to SCHARR WÄRME GmbH & Co.KG, Stuttgart.
In addition to the statutory two-year calibration test that is carried out on every tanker , the tankers are subject to constant, voluntary checks by the state calibration office , inspectors of the RAL quality mark and thus belong to the dealers who use this mark.
