The SHV Holdings is a Dutch holding company headquartered in Utrecht . However, the legal seat is Kralendijk on the island of Bonaire . SHV Holdings consists of the companies SHV Energy ( LPG sales, " Primagas "), Eriks (engineering elements trade), Makro (wholesale), Mammoet (special transports), Nutreco (pet food), Dyas (oil and gas) and NPM Capital ( Private equity).

history

SHV was founded in 1896 as Steenkolen Handels-Vereeniging through the merger of eight Dutch coal traders . In the years that followed, the company expanded its activities to include end-customer trading and shipping on the Rhine . After the Second World War, the company expanded into the transport and distribution of mineral oil and products. In 1968 the first wholesale store was opened together with Metro .
