Calvin Hard is a German singer and musical performer .

Career

The German singer Calvin Hard completed classical training in concert guitar , piano and singing . He made his first appearances at the age of 10. Inspired by the guitarist Thomas Buhé , he was initially drawn to jazz and rhythm . In addition to his musical training, he also learned to appreciate the performing arts , dance and especially pantomime . Calvin Hard started a long show and tap dance training at the same time.

As a musician , performer and lead singer in the orchestra , big band , theater and studio, Calvin Hard gained further musical experience. Calvin Hard produced individual gala entertainment programs tailored to his personality, such as the multi-award-winning show about the American pop singer Michael Jackson . In 1994 Calvin Hard won the sequel to the Rudi Carrell show "Songs in the Saloon" on WDR . In 1997 Calvin Hard won the Endemol- produced Soundmix Show with Linda de Mol on RTL under the jury of Caterina Valente .

From 1996 to 1998 Calvin Hard worked in the musical GAUDÍ by Eric Woolfson ( The Alan Parsons Project ) in the staging by Elmar Ottenthal and under the artistic production management of Wolfgang Link . There he played the leading role of the film producer Mark Winner and made his debut in the specially built Musical Dome Cologne. The musical was so successful that, with commercial exploitation in Cologne, it was able to attract over 1 million viewers. The cult musical GAUDÍ was brought back to the stage from 2005 to 2007 with the original cast Renée Knapp , Calvin Hard and John Cashmore in a new production under the choreographer and director Kim Duddy .
