Camélia Jordana
Camélia Jordana Aliouane (born September 15, 1992 in Toulon , Var ) is a French singer and actress. In 2009 she took part in the casting show Nouvelle Star , the French version of Pop Idol , where she was eliminated in the semifinals. Shortly thereafter, she signed a recording deal with Sony Music .
biography
Camélia Jordana comes from a family with an Algerian migration background. She has an older sister and a younger brother. At sixteen, she decided to take part in the casting of the seventh season of Nouvelle Star in Marseille . She convinced the jury with her interpretation of What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and finally made it to the semi-finals.
After signing with the record label Sony Music, Camélia Jordana released her debut album of the same name on March 29, 2010. With 10,169 copies sold in the first week, it reached ninth place on the French album charts. Her first single Non Non Non (Écouter Barbara) appeared in France only as an audio file on the Internet, but reached third place in the national download charts. In April 2010 Camélia Jordana worked with André Manoukian on his album So in Love .
She has appeared in various film and television productions since 2012, including Nur We Three Together from 2015. For her role as Neïla Salah in Yvan Attal's 2017 film Die Brilliant Mademoiselle Neïla , she was awarded the César for Best Young Actress in 2018 .
