Cape Canaveral AFS Launch Complex 12 (LC-12) is a disused launch pad at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on Merritt Island , Cape Canaveral in Florida , USA . It was from the late 1950s until the late 1960s mainly to start for testing and development flights of the Atlas - ICBM used.
Also from the NASA variety of payloads launched from LC-12th Two of the early Pioneer lunar probes and all Ranger lunar probes were launched from here. LC-10 also launched four Mariner probes.
In 1967 the LC-12 was officially decommissioned together with the sister launch ramps LC-11 and LC-14 .
