Cape Canaveral AFS Launch Complex 47 (LC-47) is a sounding rocket launch complex at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on Merritt Island , Cape Canaveral in Florida , USA .

LC-47 has been used for sounding rockets since 1984, as LC-43 (which was previously used for this purpose) had to give way for the construction of LC-46 . So far, over 500 sounding rockets have been launched from here.
