Carl-Georg Böhne

Carl-Georg Böhne (born November 27, 1937 in Hamburg ) is a German historian and Germanist .

Life

Böhne attended the Sankt Ansgar School in Hamburg and studied theater studies , German studies , pedagogy and history there as well as in Würzburg , Vienna , Bonn and Cologne . It was in 1968 at the University of Cologne for " Dr. phil. PhD ; his doctoral supervisor was Otto CA zur Nedden . During his studies he worked as an editor for West German and Hessian radio .

In Calcutta , India, he taught German language, literature and cultural studies at Jadavpur University on behalf of the DAAD and directed at the Max-Müller-Bhavan - Goethe-Institut .

For the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation in Berlin, he was responsible for the publications of the head office. In Krefeld and Düsseldorf he taught German for emigrants at the Benedict School and Adult Education Center and gave lectures and courses on ancient Near Eastern cultures, music history and German literature and was a member of the “German-Persian Literature Club Hafizieh” (exhibition about Ferdosis “Shahname”). In the exhibition “Cheops-Tonehenge” he presented the new chronology of the ancient Near East based on the theories of Heribert Illig (Munich) for discussion.

Since 1991 appointed first as a teacher at the Colegio Alemán Alexander von Humboldt (Mexico City) , then the Tecnologico de Monterrey and since 2002 at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) as a Medievalist , in 1998 and 2000 he published a book on the Berlin Palace and the street Unter den Linden . As a member of the “Forum Stadtbild Berlin” he gave numerous introductions to the history of Berlin.

Carl-Georg Böhne is currently working on a critical text edition (37 manuscripts) of the Nibelungenlied and the “Faust” folk book. As synodal (proofreader), he supervises dissertations and master's theses at the Philosophical Faculty of UNAM.
