Carl Gottfried Friedrich von Billerbeck (* 1721 in Janikow ; † June 10, 1761 in Tyrol ) was a Prussian major .

Life

Origin and family

Carl Gottfried was a member of the Pomeranian noble family von Billerbeck . His parents were the Prussian captain in the “Barfus” regiment and heir to Hohenwalde Gottfried von Billerbeck († before 1759) and Beate Johanne, née von Schmeling from the Streitz family (1690–1759). General Konstantin von Billerbeck was his brother.

He left a legitimate son Karl Wilhelm von Billerbeck, born in 1740, who was retired as a Prussian lieutenant . D. was mayor of the police in Libau since 1788 .

Career

Billerbeck denied an officer career in the Prussian army , which he entered at the age of 13. He took part in the first two Silesian Wars and was wounded in the Battle of Kay . As a captain in the regiment "Wedel" commanded it in the Seven Years' War , a Grenadier battalion , consisting of eight infantry companies of the regiments "Kalckstein" , "Margrave Karl" , "Wedel" and "Itzenplitz" was composed. In this capacity he was wounded again in the battle of Kunersdorf . In 1760 he advanced to major, but in 1761 he was taken prisoner by the Austrians and was taken to Tyrol, where he died of his injuries.
