Carl Ludwig von Proff-Irnich

Carl Ludwig Freiherr von Proff-Irnich and Menden (born July 10, 1816 in Geistingen , † October 28, 1895 in Bonn ) was a lawyer, doctor and member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation .

Life

Carl Ludwig von Proff-Irnich attended the Catholic high school in Cologne, studied in Bonn law , in Berlin and Paris medicine. In 1842 he became a regional court assessor and underwent the state medical examination (approved for practice in 1849) while he was employed at the higher court in Berlin. Later he was a district judge in Bonn.

From 1862 to 1870 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1867 to 1871 of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation and the Customs Parliament for the constituency of Cologne 4 ( Rheinbach , Bonn ). In the first legislative term he joined the Free Association , in the second legislative term he remained non-attached. He voted against the constitution.
