Carl Peter Jensen (politician)
Carl Peter Jensen (born January 3, 1906 in Sundby , † August 28, 1987 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish politician of the Social Democrats . He served his party as a member of the Folketing as well as housing and Greenland minister .
Life
Jensen successfully completed his training as a plumber in Copenhagen in 1924 and then worked for a few years in the large gas meter factory in Stubbekøbing, where he already came into contact with organizational work. At the age of nineteen he became a member of the works council and shortly afterwards a trade unionist and member of the main plumbers' organization.
Jensen was a member of the Folketing from 1953 to 1971.
From March 31, 1960 to September 26, 1964, Jensen was Housing Minister in the Kampmann I , Kampmann II and Krag I cabinets . He was then Greenland Minister in the Krag II cabinet until February 2, 1968.
