Carlos Gómez (born March 18, 1992 ) is a Mexican ice hockey player who has been playing for the Mapaches in Mexico since 2014.

Career

Carlos Gómez began his career as a hockey player with San Jeronimo. In 2012 he moved to the Aztec Eagle Warriors in the semi-professional Liga Mexicana Elite . But after just one season he returned to his home club. He has been playing for the Mapaches since 2014.

International

In the junior division, Gómez was on the ice for Mexico at the U18 World Championships in 2007 in Division II and in 2008 in Division III and in the U20 World Championships in Division II in 2009 and 2012 .

With the men's national team , Gómez took part in the World Championships of Division II in 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017 . He also took part in the Olympic qualifications for the Winter Games in Sochi in 2014 and in Pyeongchang in 2018 , in which the Mexicans failed in the pre-qualification. At the Pan-American ice hockey tournament in 2014 , in which he and his team finished second, he was named top scorer and scorer.
