Carlos José Tissera (born September 10, 1951 in Río Cuarto , Argentina ) is Bishop of Quilmes in Argentina.

Life

Carlos José Tissera studied philosophy at the seminary in Cordoba and theology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina in Buenos Aires. Tissera was ordained a priest on April 7, 1978 by the Bishop of Río Cuarto, Moisés Julio Blanchoud . In 1978 he became deputy pastor at the pilgrimage site "Señor de la Buena Muerte" in Reducción , and in 1981 he moved to the parish in Adelia María . From 1983 to 1992 Tissera was Superior and Spiritual in the seminary in Rio Cuarto, and from 1992 to 2004 he was pastor of the cathedral church of the Diocese of Villa de la Concepción del Río Cuarto .

Pope John Paul II named him fourth bishop of San Francisco in 2004 . He was ordained episcopal on February 6, 2005 in the Church of San Francisco Solan Ramón Artemio Staffolani , Bishop of Río Cuarto; Co-consecrators were the old archbishop of Salta , Moisés Julio Blanchoud, and the auxiliary bishop in Buenos Aires , Mario Aurelio Poli .

On October 12, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Quilmes.

He is a member of the Commission for the Ministries in the Argentine Bishops' Conference CEA and deputy delegate from the Pastoral Centro region .
