Casey FitzRandolph (born January 21, 1975 in Madison , Wisconsin ) is an American speed skater .

In 1997 he won the bronze medal at the World Sprint Championships in Hamar . In 2001 he won another bronze medal at the world championships over 500 meters.

His best year was 2002. He won the silver medal at the Sprint World Championships and was Olympic champion over 500 meters at the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City . That was the first gold medal over 500 meters for an American since the victory of Eric Heiden, also born in Madison, in 1980 .
