Casius Gerbacea (born August 11, 1992 in Brașov , Romania ) is a Romanian biathlete .

Casius Gerbacea has been running biathlon since 2002 and has been racing for SC Dinamo Brașov since 2006 . His trainer is Marian Blaj . He made his international debut as part of the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě , where rank 53 was the best result in the sprint. Two years later he was in Obertilliach 55th of the individual and relay tenth. Shortly afterwards he also started in the junior races of the Biathlon European Championships 2013 in Bansko and reached the pursuit race as 35th, which he did not finish as a lapped runner. In the singles Gerbacea came in 38th place.

In the men’s performance category, Gerbacea made his debut at the start of the 2012/13 season in Idre , where he was 68th of the sprint. He won his first points a year later in Obertilliach as 37th in a sprint race. The first competition in the Biathlon World Cup followed in Ruhpolding in 2014 .
