Caspar Freusberg (born May 30, 1873 in Olpe ; † January 23, 1954 in Neuss ) was a German district administrator.

Caspar Freusberg was born as the son of the married couple Joseph Maria Caspar Markus Freusberg and Maria Anna Henriette Clara Herold. His uncle Adolf was district administrator of the Olpe district, his uncle Joseph was auxiliary bishop in Paderborn. His brother Joseph was auxiliary bishop of Fulda.

Career

Caspar Freusberg acquired on July 25, 1894 at the school Arnsberg the leaving certificate and then studied at the universities of Marburg , Bonn and Berlin Jura . He did his military service as a one-year volunteer with the Kurhessisches Jäger Battalion No. 11 . Due to illness, he could not be promoted to officer.

He passed the examination to become a trainee lawyer at the Berlin Superior Court on March 13, 1899 with the result “sufficient” and received his doctorate on June 9, 1899 in Leipzig as Doctor iuris utriusque . From 13 May 1901, he worked as a government clerk in the government Minden worked and was there in 1904 Regierungsassessor with subsequent referral to the district Pinneberg and on 14 June 1905, the district administrator of the district Elk (East Prussia) . After working for the Olsztyn district government , he worked for the district administrator of the Ortelsburg district (East Prussia) and then for the Düsseldorf district government . Here he became a councilor on May 24, 1911. From December 1915 to July 1916 he was entrusted with the civil administration of the cities of Vilnius and Grodno , before he was commissioned to manage the district administration of the Olpe district on July 6, 1916 . The district council of Olpe unanimously chose him as the first candidate for the office of district administrator, renouncing the right to propose. The definitive appointment as district administrator took place on January 16, 1917. Here he remained in office until the change to the Düsseldorf district government on October 7, 1926. He retired on June 1, 1938.

Freusberg was a member of the center from 1921 to 1925 and a member of the SA from 1933 to 1936 without being a member of the NSDAP .

He married Carmen von Ayx on February 17, 1909 in Düsseldorf. The marriage resulted in two sons.
