Chéméré ( Breton : Keverieg ; Gallo : Cheméràè ) is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Chaumes-en-Retz with 2,589 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Chéméréens .

Since January 1, 2016, it has merged with the former municipality of Arthon-en-Retz and is part of the Commune nouvelle Chaumes-en-Retz. It belonged to the arrondissement of Saint-Nazaire and the canton of Machecoul (until 2015: canton of Bourgneuf-en-Retz ).

Chéméré is located about 29 kilometers west-southwest of Nantes in the Pays de Retz .
