Chad Hayes

Chad Hayes (born April 21, 1961 in Portland , Oregon ) is an American screenwriter who mainly works with his brother Carey .

Career

He began his work as a screenwriter on television and is responsible for several scripts, the short-lived series Baywatch Nights , an offshoot of the successful series Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu . Until 2005, Hayes wrote almost exclusively scripts for television series or television films, before he and his brother wrote the screenplay for the horror film House of Wax together with Charles Belden . The film drew mostly negative reviews and was nominated for the Golden Raspberry in the category worst remake / worst sequel . The next movie, for which Hayes wrote the script with his brother, The Reaping - The Messengers of the Apocalypse , drew mostly negative reviews, as it should happen with Whiteout .

In 2013, the Hayes brothers wrote the script for Conjuring . The film, directed by James Wan , drew positive reviews and proved a success. A sequel has since been announced, for which he and his brother re-wrote the script. Conjuring 2 was released in June 2016.

Hayes has two children.
