The Chakki Khad is a right tributary of the Beas in the Indian states of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab .

The Chakki Khad rises 15 km south of the district capital Chamba in Dhauladhar , a mountain range of the Front Himalayas . Initially, the river flows in a westerly direction through the mountains in the south of the Chamba district . After 30 km it reaches the transition zone to the Siwaliks and turns to the southwest. The reservoir of the Ranjit-Sagar dam , through which the Ravi flows, extends 5 km to the northwest . The Chakki Khad now forms the border between the districts of Pathankot in Punjab in the west and Kangra in Himachal Pradesh in the east. He breaks through the Siwalik mountain ranges. The Jabbar Khad flows into the river on the left. The Chakki Khad flows around a ridge of the Siwaliks to the west, it passes the city of Pathankot and turns south for its last 20 km. Finally, 18 km east-northeast of the city of Gurdaspur, it meets the Beas, which flows in from the northeast. The Chakki Khad has a length of approx. 90 km.
