The Chalon is a river in France that runs in the Drôme department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the municipality of Montmiral , close to the border with the neighboring municipality of Valherbasse , generally drains towards the southwest and flows into the Isère after around 28 kilometers in the municipality of Granges-les-Beaumont as a right tributary .
