Arthémonay is located about 30 kilometers northeast of Valence . The municipality is bounded to the east by the Chalon River . Arthémonay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Crépol in the north, Le Chalon in the east and northeast, Geyssans in the east and southeast, Peyrins in the south and Margès in the west.
