Saint-Barthélemy-de-Vals is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Uze in the north, La Motte-de-Galaure in the northeast, Claveyson in the east, Bren in the southeast, Chantemerle-les-Blés in the south, Érôme in the southwest and Ponsas in the west as well as Saint-Vallier and Laveyron in the northwest.
