Montélier is about ten kilometers east of Valence . The Canal de la Bourne runs through the municipality . Montélier is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Alixan in the north, Charpey in the east and northeast, Châteaudouble in the southeast, Chabeuil in the south and Valence in the west.
