Montéléger is a French commune with 1,806 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Drôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Valence and the canton of Valence-3 (until 2015: canton of Portes-lès-Valence ). The inhabitants are called Montélégeois (es) .
geography
Montéléger is located on the Véore River , a tributary of the Rhône . Montéléger is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Valence in the north, Beaumont-lès-Valence in the east, Montmeyran in the south-east, Étoile-sur-Rhône in the south and south-west, Beauvallon in the west and Portes-lès-Valence in the west and north-west.
