Beauregard beret

Beauregard-Baret is a french commune in the department of Drôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes .

geography

Beauregard-Baret is ten kilometers southeast of Bourg-de-Péage and about 30 kilometers east of Valence (as the crow flies). The 23.44 km² municipality covers part of the Isère valley and lies at the foot of the Vercors Mountains.

population

Beauregard-Baret, with 854 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), is one of the medium-sized municipalities in the Drôme department. In 1962 the community still had 441 inhabitants, after which the population fell to 321 in 1975. The reason for this was the relatively high rate of emigration. Since then, the population has grown rapidly, and has almost doubled in the last 30 years. Thanks to immigration and a positive birth rate.
