Upie is a municipality in France . It belongs to the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region , the Drôme department , the Valence arrondissement and the Crest canton . It is located 13 km south of Chabeuil and borders on Montmeyran to the north, Ourches to the northeast, Vaunaveys-la-Rochette to the east, Eurre to the south, Allex to the southwest and Montoison to the west . The residents call themselves Upiens or Upiennes . The village is affected by the source streams of the Pétochin River.
